Hundreds of individually thrown ceramic components were made, trimmed and assembled to build a single form. Each component is slightly different, so the surface shifts constantly rather than becoming a uniform pattern.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI was interested in what would happen when the accumulation became dense enough to obscure the individual parts, while leaving a clear opening through the centre. The void became as important as the material around it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI want the viewer to move around the work and notice the changing relationship between the dense outer surface and the space held within it.
