I used to think that being cracked meant being broken, and that the broken parts of me were things I needed to hide. While making this, I started thinking about how flowers can grow through cracks in pavements. The pavement is damaged, but the crack gives something beautiful a place to grow.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI made the outside of the head dark and cracked to represent the difficult parts of my life and the things that have hurt me. Inside, I placed small colourful objects to represent the memories, experiences and parts of myself that have grown from those cracks.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI want people to look closely and realise that being cracked doesn't mean you can't grow something beautiful.
