In depths, emphasises how tranquility is felt deeply when connected in natures embrace. In depth, a realistic large scale drawing I developed from my reference image of my younger sister, holds great value to me through the personal context and the meaning of intent of the art piece. Humans today have been entirely consumed by excessive screen time, where attention spans are reduced only to attain 5 second videos of brain rot. We are dependent on these devices that are causing psychological drainage. To reflect this concerning issue, I wanted to capture the moment where my sisters soul connects with the nature. Her calming expressions whilst emerging out of a state of flow is a symbol for emotional grounding and the healing effect that being connected with nature and water can have on the anxiously over stimulated mind. This piece filters out distraction, where the audience can recognise my sister in a state of tranquility and is invited to stay present, despite the underappreciated and fast paced world we constantly consumed by.
