Jim Cobb established Chroma, the Australian art materials manufacturing business. In contact for over thirty years through my experimenting with the products, this included my feedback on working with new Chroma materials, and workshops. 
After moving to Queensland, Jim and Raquel became firm friends. Jim posed for me over two sessions at his home, where I created charcoal and pastel studies from life. I have collaged literature from many Chroma products as a background to this work, completed in acrylic and charcoal.  Jim passed away before seeing the final work (OAM awarded January 2025).
