About the work
This dynamic sculpture captures a fearless woman astride a bucking bull during the iconic Condamine Rodeo, a cold beer raised triumphantly in one hand. Crafted entirely from recycled car and machinery parts form the bull's muscular flanks, welded engine components create the rider's flowing form, and rusted gears suggest raw motion--the work pulses with industrial energy and outback spirit.
Blending strength, celebration, and cheeky defiance. the piece honours rural Australia's rodeo culture while championing sustainability. The lady's poised confidence amid chaos embodies resilience and joy, transforming discarded metal into a powerful symbol of feminine grit and the enduring heart of Queensland's country traditions
