About the work
Gatekeeper responds to the disorienting rise of AI and the struggle to remain human inside systems that automate, regulate, and monetise creativity.Here, two de-stabilised gestural human forms are infiltrated by circular symbols representing computer code, Morse signals, surveillance, weapons, and data tracking. This infiltration questions where individuality survives amid accelerating technological control.The title references those who dictate what is seen, offering a self-serving version of "truth." Ultimately, the work challenges viewers to question these systems of authority.
