About the work
The big surprise, with this one, was having to complete each individual portrait with hands in front of faces before I could add the eyes, mouths and facial expressions. Because just like art imitating life, I needed the make-up, lipstick and lines to follow the contours of the fingers and hands.
And no I don’t know who these people are. How could I they’ve all got their hands in front of their faces!
I’ve called it – Mistaken Identity – which I thought entirely appropriate.

Collection and delivery
This work is on show at The J, Noosa, until the exhibition closes on 29 October. Works bought during the exhibition stay on the wall until then, and we'll be in touch after purchase to arrange collection or delivery.
