Shattered Harvest is a glass sculpture that uses the watermelon as a powerful symbol of Palestinian identity, resilience, and struggle. The work explores the contrast between light and dark, both physically through the properties of glass and conceptually through themes of hope and suffering.
The sculpture takes the form of a watermelon wedge crafted from glass. Chosen for its strong symbolic connection to Palestine, the watermelon represents cultural identity, endurance, and solidarity.
